CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Sunday Adult Education Class
During the regular schedule of the year (not when the parish is on summer schedule), the Rector leads a very interesting and informative adult education class at 9:15 a.m.  This is structured between the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. masses so that one may attend either of the worship services and also the adult education class. The topics vary from year to year; however, all are topics which are about the faith.

Church School Classes and Children's Chapel
During the Christian Education hour at 9:15 a.m., again between the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. church services, children from the ages of 4 through 13 have their own christian education classes. These are held in the rooms on the second floor of the Christian Education Building over the Parish Hall. During the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service, the smaller children meet in the Lady Chapel for their own service with stories, songs and instruction.

Confirmation / Inquirers Classes
Those desiring to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church need to participate in confirmation classes before the Bishop will confirm or receive them. Of course, those who are already members of the Episcopal Church and are wishing a "refresher" course are welcome to attend. Contact the Rector for information and scheduling.

Bible Study
There are three regularly scheduled Bible Study classes in the parish, during the regular schedule of the year.  All three are taught by the Rector.  Tuesday there is a Bible Study class in the Guild Room beginning about 10:30 a.m. (following the Tuesday morning mass) and lasts until 11:45 a.m.  Wednesday there is a Bible Study class in the Guild Room beginning at 7:30 a.m. following the early morning mass on Wednesday, ending at about 8:45 a.m. and during which a light breakfast is served. The third Bible Study class is regularly scheduled, but meets at various times. This class is scheduled for every "red letter" holy day in the Church calendar on which some other social event in the parish does not take place. This "red letter holy day bible study class" meets after the 6:30 p.m. mass on those holy days beginning with a pot luck supper in the Parish Hall and then the Bible Study class.

Friday Morning Discussion Group
Some people call this class "coffee with the Rector." It is a discussion group in the open question and answer format, with the discussion being the choice of the group each week. It meets every Friday in the regular schedule of the year at 10:15 a.m. after the mid-morning mass and ends by 11:30 a.m.
